Loren Richmond Jr.

Loren Richmond Jr. is a thoughtful and strategic leader with a deep commitment to ministry, nonprofit service, and community development. With a Master of Divinity from Phillips Theological Seminary and an MBA with a nonprofit emphasis from Hope International University, Loren blends theological insight with business strategy to help organizations thrive with clarity and purpose. He has served in diverse roles across church leadership, hospital chaplaincy, nonprofit programming, and media production. Loren brings a unique ecumenical perspective, having worked in a wide range of theological and denominational settings including Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, United Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, and Non-denominational churches. He is also the host of the Future Christian Podcast, where he curates thoughtful conversations around faith, leadership, and innovation in a rapidly evolving religious landscape.
In recent years, Loren has focused increasingly on affordable housing, helping faith communities reimagine their buildings as tools for social good. He has completed professional certificates in fundraising, church administration, and real-estate development, and consults with churches and nonprofits on strategic growth and missional impact. Completed during the second wave of COVID-19 while finishing an MBA, this full-time chaplaincy residency deepened Loren’s skills in spiritual care, crisis response, and emotional resilience in high-stress healthcare settings.
2009-2013
Phillips Seminary
Through his MBA program at Hope International University, Loren gained practical skills in nonprofit management, strategic planning, and fundraising. The degree helped him bridge faith-based values with organizational leadership and sustainability.
2000-2004
Mission University
Loren began his vocational journey with a Bachelor of Science in Youth Ministry, where he was equipped to lead and disciple young people in faith communities. The program grounded him in ministry practice, evangelism, and Christian education.

Hope International
Loren earned his M.Div. from Phillips Theological Seminary, where he developed a strong foundation in theology, pastoral care, and ecclesial leadership. His studies emphasized critical thinking, biblical scholarship, and ministry in a pluralistic and evolving world.
